SnapChat has set its first office in India which headquartered in Mumbai. They hope it will add stones to their business growth. The Photo-messaging app expressed on its 40% increase in DAU year on year.
The sources said the new local team in India would focus on expanding strategic coalitions with partners. They will also build a consistently engaged community of content creators and users. The most specific one is to service the advertisers or agencies of India.
Snap is the parent company of the social media app Snapchat. Like other Social media, apps allow users to share photos with friends for 24 hours after which the content disappears automatically.
The app may introduce four languages and five later this year, to make local content.
The company has also introduced four Indian languages to Snapchat (the app) at this moment. With plans to launch an additional five languages before the end of the year, Snapchat is excited.
On Snap chat’s focus is on providing a medium for communication between a close group of real friends.
It will be interesting to see the real-time growth in this social media industry where Facebook & Instagram are real dominant.
